Drop-Wire Builder

Job Description

The Drop-Wire Builder is responsible for constructing and maintaining drop-wire communication systems. This role involves ensuring the efficient installation and repair of telephone lines, cables, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install drop-wire systems in residential and commercial locations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on existing drop-wire setups.
• Identify and correct performance bottlenecks in drop-wire systems.
• Collaborate with external contractors for large installation projects.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to industry best practices.
• Assist with upgrading drop-wire systems to newer technologies.
• Document repair procedures and keep records of past maintenance work.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in telecommunications are advantageous

Experience

• Experience with drop-wire installation is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Fiber optic systems knowledge
• Use of safety equipment
