Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join our team. The Cost Estimator will be responsible for interpreting construction plans, conducting material take-offs, estimating project costs, and providing accurate bids for concrete projects.
Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and relevant documents to understand the scope of work.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for concrete projects.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary data for estimating purposes.
Prepare detailed estimates considering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Analyze supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and adherence to project requirements.
Create a comprehensive database of cost information for future reference and analysis.
Participate in bid meetings and assist in the development of bidding strategies.
Provide support during project execution, including change order pricing and value engineering.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
Master's degree is a plus
Experience
4+ years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in concrete projects.
