Job Description

As a Bus Operator with Public Transit Solutions Inc., you’ll play a crucial role in providing safe and reliable transportation services to our passengers. Ideal candidates will have excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to their destinations while maintaining public safety standards.
• Monitor passenger behavior and enforce transit rules.
• Provide route information and travel assistance to passengers.
• Conduct regular safety checks on the bus and report issues immediately.
• Maintain a polite and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Engage with diverse community members, providing assistance as needed.
• Participate in community engagement events to promote public transit services.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years driving experience with large vehicles.

Technical Skills

• Ability to operate buses safely
• Knowledge of traffic regulations

• Multitasking skills

Certifications

• First Aid/CPR Certification
• Safety and Compliance Training

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Conversational

Advantageous

• Bilingual in Spanish and English: Fluency in speaking both languages to better serve diverse communities.
• Experience with transit operations: Prior experience working in public transportation environments is preferable.
