Responsibilities
Direct the creation of effective waste management programs tailored to community needs.
Oversee operational compliance with environmental legislation.
Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including local governments and environmental organizations.
Identify budgetary needs and manage the waste management budget.
Review staffing needs and implement workforce management strategies.
Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management on waste management goals.
Coordinate emergency waste management responses for natural disasters.
Ensure ongoing staff development through training and performance assessments.
Encourage innovative solutions for waste disposal and recycling.
Monitor waste disposal sites and ensure the safety and effectiveness of operations.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
Master's or advanced degree is preferred

5+ years of experience in waste management leadership roles
