Job Description

As a Bonsai Tender at Zen Bonsai Gardens, you will cultivate and care for a variety of bonsai trees, ensuring their health and aesthetic beauty. You will play a crucial role in educating visitors, assisting in sales, and promoting the artistry behind bonsai cultivation.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate bonsai trees and provide care including watering and shaping.
  • Engage with visitors and assist in educating them about bonsai art.
  • Help maintain the nursery's aesthetic and organization.
  • Evaluate the health of plants and implement care strategies.
  • Support sales efforts by recommending suitable bonsai selections.
  • Inventory and order supplies as needed for daily operations.
  • Host or assist in bonsai workshops and community events.
  • Foster relationships with local gardening groups and enthusiasts.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formal training or certification in horticulture or related field is preferred
Experience
  • Prior experience in plant care or horticulture is preferred but not required.
