Job Description

As a Beach Lifeguard, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that beachgoers are safe and secure while enjoying their time by the water. This position demands vigilance, quick decision-making, and strong swimming skills. You'll monitor beach activities, enforce safety regulations, and provide education on beach safety. The ideal candidate is proactive and able to respond effectively to emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the safety of all individuals in designated swimming areas.
  • Conduct regular assessments of beach conditions and weather for safety.
  • Educate patrons about health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the execution of safety drills and training exercises.
  • Collaborate with local authorities during emergency situations.
  • Keep accurate records of incidents and safety inspections.
  • Promote a positive and safe beach experience for guests.
  • Address any behavior violations concerning safety procedures.
  • Maintain communication with team members throughout shifts.
  • Enhance community relations through outreach and educational efforts.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in water safety or lifeguarding
Experience
  • Experience in a beach or waterfront setting preferred.
