We are seeking a skilled and experienced Jockey to join our team in Lexington, KY. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for horse riding and have the capability to compete professionally. This position necessitates physical fitness, a thorough understanding of racing strategies, and exceptional riding skills to ensure optimum performance during races.

Responsibilities

• Train and condition horses for competitive events.
• Work closely with veterinary staff to ensure horse health.
• Document performance and progress of horses.
• Assist in managing and maintaining racing equipment.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to sharpen competitive skills.
• Help mentor junior jockeys and share best practices.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional courses in equine management preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of professional racing experience

Technical Skills

• Exceptional horsemanship
• Strategic thinking in racing

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Certified Equine Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
