Job Description
As a Furnace, Kiln, Oven, Drier, and Kettle Operator, your main responsibility will be to manage the operation and maintenance of various firing equipment. You will ensure optimal performance, monitor processes to achieve quality standards, and adhere to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of the kiln, maintaining product integrity.
- Set and adjust the controls for heat and humidity carefully.
- Monitor kiln operations for any anomalies and report issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of kiln operations and outputs.
- Perform essential routine maintenance tasks on kiln equipment.
- Comply with all safety regulations and use protective gear.
- Train new operators on kiln processes and safety measures.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to uphold product quality.
- Implement improvements to enhance kiln efficiency and reduce downtime.
Requirements
Education
- Experience with specialty firing techniques is advantageous
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience operating kilns in a production environment
