Job Description

As a Police Identification and Records Officer, you will play a crucial role in the criminal justice system. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and prepare evidence for criminal cases, ensuring that all pertinent information is accurately documented and available for investigations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of forensic practices, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed forensic examinations and analyses of evidence types including fingerprints, DNA, and toxicology samples.
  • Prepare and present expert testimony in court as necessary.
  • Work with law enforcement to ensure evidence integrity and thorough documentation.
  • Engage in the design and implementation of new forensic procedures and technologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science or Criminal Justice
  • Master's degree in a related field is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the law enforcement or forensic field.
