Responsibilities

• Instruct students in understanding historical concepts, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Organize and maintain lesson materials, instructional resources, and classroom displays.
• Develop and implement project-based learning activities that involve students' critical thinking.
• Utilize technology to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
• Encourage student participation and foster a supportive and inclusive classroom culture.
• Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss student progress and goals.
• Research and incorporate innovative teaching strategies and practices.
• Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education or History
• Master's degree in Education is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years teaching history at the secondary level

• California Teaching Credential
