Lineman

Job Description

Utility Services Inc. is looking for a qualified Lineman to build and maintain our electrical systems. If you have a strong background in electrical utility work and safety practices, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of electrical distribution systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond to service calls for electrical outages and maintenance.
• Assist in the planning and deployment of new electrical service connections.
• Keep accurate logs of work performed and materials used.
• Engage in ongoing training to keep up with advances in electrical technology.
• Work closely with safety compliance personnel to ensure workplace safety.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Lineman Apprentice Program

Experience

• 5+ years experience preferred.

Technical Skills

• Splicing and Terminating Cable
• Transformer Maintenance
• Welding

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Communication

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with advanced utility technologies: Familiarity with smart grid technologies and renewables integration.
• Proficiency in operational mapping: Experience with GIS and network mapping tools.
