Hoist and Winch Operator

Job Description

As a Hoist and Winch Operator, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining hoists and winches to assist in the efficient movement of materials and equipment at our job sites. Your expertise will ensure safety and productivity on-site.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor hoist systems for safety and efficiency.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on hoisting equipment.
• Collaborate with other operators to ensure smooth workflow.
• Report any safety hazards or operational issues immediately.
• Help create a positive and team-oriented work environment.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials.
• Participate in ongoing training on machinery operation and safety.
• Document and maintain logs of crane operations.
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned and properly maintained at the end of the day.
• Comply with all PPE (personal protective equipment) regulations.

Advantageous

• Heavy Machinery Experience: Experience with additional heavy equipment such as bulldozers or cranes.
• Team Leadership Experience: Previous experience in leading teams on job sites.
