Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Medical Technician to support our eye care professionals in administering quality patient care. You will play a crucial role in conducting diagnostic tests, maintaining equipment, and assisting with patient procedures. The ideal candidate should have experience in a clinical setting and a passion for patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and interpret diagnostic imaging and testing.
  • Assist with the fitting and dispensing of corrective lenses and contacts.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Support the team in research initiatives related to ophthalmology.
  • Document and track patient progress and outcomes.
  • Ensure all safety and infection control protocols are followed.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Participate in team meetings to improve clinic operations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field is preferred
  • Certification from an accredited ophthalmic technician program is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
