Job Description

We are looking for a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist ophthalmologists in providing patient care, performing diagnostic tests, and operating various ophthalmic instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry.
  • Assist ophthalmologists with patient examinations, including history taking and visual field testing.
  • Educate patients on eye care procedures and post-operative care.
  • Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the ophthalmologist.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sterility of ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
  • Conduct basic maintenance and calibration of diagnostic equipment.
  • Assist in the coordination of surgical procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in ophthalmology and attend relevant training sessions.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate's degree in Ophthalmic Technology or a related field
  • Master's degree in a healthcare field is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in an ophthalmic setting is a plus.
