Job Description
We are looking for a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist ophthalmologists in providing patient care, performing diagnostic tests, and operating various ophthalmic instruments.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry.
Assist ophthalmologists with patient examinations, including history taking and visual field testing.
Educate patients on eye care procedures and post-operative care.
Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the ophthalmologist.
Ensure cleanliness and sterility of ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
Conduct basic maintenance and calibration of diagnostic equipment.
Assist in the coordination of surgical procedures.
Keep up-to-date with advancements in ophthalmology and attend relevant training sessions.
Requirements
Education
Associate's degree in Ophthalmic Technology or a related field
Master's degree in a healthcare field is preferred
Experience
2+ years of experience in an ophthalmic setting is a plus.
