Job Description

As a Cable Strander, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining cable stranding machines to produce high-quality wire products. The role requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of machinery to ensure products meet strict specifications. You will work closely with team members, contributing to a safe and productive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain stranding machines to ensure optimal production levels.
• Verify quality of cables produced and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain production flow.
• Conduct periodic inspections on equipment to ensure functionality.
• Document production outcomes and report discrepancies.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to improve production techniques.
• Train and mentor junior staff on machine operations.
• Participate in safety audits and adhere to company safety policies.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associates degree in Manufacturing Technology is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cable manufacturing or relevant field.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of electrical wiring
• Computer Literacy

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills

Certifications

• Manufacturing Safety Standards Certification
• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Understanding of different cable materials: Knowledge of various types of cable materials relevant to the industry.
• Experience with specific cable stranding machines: Hands-on experience operating various models of cable stranding equipment.
