Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sterile Processing Technologist to join our medical facility. You will play a vital role in ensuring the proper sterilization and preparation of medical equipment and instruments. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Document sterilization procedures and maintain logs as required.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely and efficient equipment access.
• Participate in quality assurance and compliance audits.
• Assist in the training of staff and interns in sterile processing procedures.
• Monitor stock levels of sterilization supplies and reorder as necessary.
• Maintain equipment and report any issues for repair.
• Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to coordinate sterilization needs.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) is preferred

Experience

• Previous experience in a sterile processing role is required.
