Job Description

We are excited to welcome a motivated and talented Materials Development Engineer to our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, the selected candidate will focus on the development and enhancement of materials utilized in our innovative products, ensuring their performance meets the highest industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of race day activities to ensure compliance with sports regulations.
• Conduct pre-race inspections and ensure all equipment meets safety standards.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency personnel for large events.
• Facilitate communication between all race participants.
• Attend ongoing training and industry workshops to maintain current knowledge.
• Compile and analyze data regarding race incidents for reporting.
• Work collaboratively with the racecourse management team to ensure smooth operations.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory bodies.
• Promote best practices for safety and compliance throughout the facility.
• Engage in public relations efforts to enhance community relations regarding the sport.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Higher education in sports management or a related field is advantageous

Experience

• Previous experience in horse racing or related sports preferred

Technical Skills

• Event planning
• Safety protocol experience

Soft Skills

• Team player
• Leadership skills

Certifications

• Advanced Steward Certification
• CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of horse racing handicapping: Ability to assess race odds and understand betting systems.
• Experience in managing large events: Proficient in overseeing logistics for events with significant participation.
