Job Description

The Heat Treating Equipment Setter operates machinery that heats and cools metal components to improve their properties and reduce internal stress. This role requires precision and attention to detail as you will monitor various processes to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust equipment settings for various metal types.
  • Oversee the heating and cooling cycles to meet product specifications.
  • Perform quality checks on finished components.
  • Maintain detailed logs of production and equipment performance.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of metal parts post-treatment.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure standards are met.
  • Participate in safety audits and training sessions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment related issues efficiently.
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
  • Engage in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in related fields is an asset
Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing or heat treating
Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with safety protocols

Certifications
  • OSHA Forklift Certification
Languages
