Job Description

As a Fire Inspector and Investigator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of communities. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting fire inspections, investigating fire incidents, and working closely with canine units to detect potential hazards. This dynamic position requires a proactive approach to safety and a deep understanding of both investigative techniques and canine behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee fire inspections to ensure adherence to legal standards and regulations.
  • Investigate fire-related incidents in coordination with local law enforcement.
  • Leverage canine capabilities to enhance investigative processes.
  • Create and maintain detailed inspection and investigation records.
  • Coordinate with community leaders to promote fire safety initiatives.
  • Conduct training sessions on fire safety for personnel and the public.
  • Evaluate fire safety equipment and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Stay current with fire safety research and best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Science or related field
  • Master's degree preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in fire safety and investigation
