Job Description

As a Hazardous Substances Scientist, you will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating risks associated with hazardous materials. This position involves conducting research, performing laboratory experiments, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of hazardous substances and their effects on health and the environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of hazardous waste sites and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in environmental site assessments and soil sampling.
  • Work with clients to develop risk communication plans.
  • Conduct air and water quality monitoring as required.
  • Facilitate and coordinate emergency response training for staff and clients.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 3-5 years of laboratory experience in hazardous substances testing
Technical Skills
  • Hazard assessment
  • Environmental modeling software
Soft Skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Project management
