Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fire Inspector/Investigator to conduct thorough investigations into suspected arson cases. The successful candidate will analyze evidence, interview witnesses, and collaborate with law enforcement agencies to establish strong investigative cases.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the scene of suspected fires to determine cause and origin.
  • Use forensic tools to analyze potential evidence and liaise with labs.
  • Engage in community outreach regarding fire prevention practices.
  • Participate in training and ongoing education to refine investigation methods.
  • Assist in development of policies related to fire safety and investigation.
  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary teams for complex investigation cases.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field
  • Master's degree in Fire Protection or related field is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in fire investigation or law enforcement
