Job Description

As a Coffee Roaster, you will be responsible for roasting coffee beans to perfection, ensuring the highest quality flavor profiles and consistency. Your expertise will contribute to designing specific roast profiles, monitoring the entire roasting process, and collaborating with our sourcing team to select the best beans.

Responsibilities

• Roast coffee beans to achieve specific flavor profiles while ensuring consistency.
• Control and troubleshoot roasting machinery for optimal performance.
• Evaluate roasted beans for quality and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
• Conduct cupping evaluations with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards.
• Work closely with sourcing teams to ensure high-quality inputs from sustainable farms.
• Document roasting processes accurately for continuous improvement.
• Promote cleanliness and organization within the roasting department.
• Assist in training junior staff on roasting techniques and equipment operations.
• Implement safety procedures relating to roasting equipment handling and maintenance.
• Research and implement new roasting technologies and techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in coffee roasting preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years in coffee roasting or similar role.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
