The Reference and Instruction Librarian plays a pivotal role within our library by providing tailored reference assistance and designing effective instructional programs. This position requires a proactive approach to foster information literacy among users and ensure they effectively navigate library resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reference interviews to identify user information needs.
• Facilitate workshops aimed at improving users' research skills.
• Evaluate and update reference materials to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with other librarians on resource-sharing initiatives.
• Advise faculty on integrating library resources into course materials.
• Lead library outreach programs and information literacy campaigns.
• Research and implement best practices in instructional design.
• Support users with advanced citation and research techniques.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Library Science preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years in academic library reference services
