Job Description

As an Adapted Fitness Professional, you’ll play a crucial role in designing and implementing specialized fitness programs tailored for individuals with disabilities. Your expertise will create a supportive and motivating environment where clients can achieve their wellness goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the fitness levels of clients and design adaptable workouts.
  • Instruct clients on correct exercise techniques and safety measures.
  • Encourage clients to set and achieve personal fitness goals.
  • Record and update client progress regularly.
  • Suggest appropriate adaptive equipment for clients.
  • Promote knowledge about disabilities in the fitness context.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to enhance client performance.
  • Conduct workshops to educate the community on adaptive fitness.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
  • Certifications in adapted fitness or similar training (preferred)
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in personal training or fitness instruction with a focus on adaptive fitness.
