Animal Caretaker (Hot Walker)

Job Description

As a Hot Walker at Equestrian Services LLC, you will play an essential role in the care and well-being of our horses, ensuring they receive the best exercise and attention during their post-exercise cool down period.

Responsibilities

• Groom horses, including brushing and bathing them.
• Assist with maintaining the horse’s daily health regimen.
• Ensure that all barn equipment is in working order.
• Communicate with trainers and veterinary staff regarding horse care.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss horse well-being.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of horse handling and care experience preferred.

Technical Skills

• Horse Anatomy Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• Equine First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with thoroughbred horses: Experience working specifically with thoroughbred breeds.
• Ability to speak Spanish: Bilingual skills can enhance communication with diverse clients.
