Job Description

As a Ceramic Painter at Artisan Ceramics Co., you will have the chance to bring your artistic talents to life by creating stunning designs on various ceramic pieces. You should be skilled in painting techniques and have a passion for ceramics.

Responsibilities

• Design and paint unique patterns and artworks on ceramic materials.
• Ensure all materials used are quality controlled to prevent defects.
• Interact with clients to understand customized project requirements.
• Work with kiln operators to guarantee proper firing of ceramic pieces.
• Participate in team brainstorming sessions for new product designs.
• Document production processes and maintain an organized inventory of materials.
• Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues with painting tools.
• Engage in ongoing learning to master new ceramic painting techniques.
• Contribute to marketing efforts by showcasing your artwork in galleries.
• Follow proper safety procedures in handling hazardous materials.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associates degree in Fine Arts preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience with a strong portfolio of ceramic artworks.

Technical Skills

• Kiln operation
• Artistic design software

Soft Skills

• Collaboration

Certifications

• Certified in Hazardous Materials Handling
• Certification in Fine Arts

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with multiple ceramic types: Hands-on experience working with stoneware, porcelain, etc.
