Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced First-Line Supervisor of Police and Detectives to oversee law enforcement operations. This role involves managing teams of police officers and detectives, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing public safety through effective leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage daily operations of police and detective units.
  • Engage with community members to enhance trust and collaboration.
  • Review and address community concerns related to law enforcement.
  • Conduct staffing assessments and allocate resources effectively.
  • Oversee compliance with state and federal law enforcement regulations.
  • Create and implement crime reduction strategies.
  • Maintain relationships with external agencies and community partners.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
  • Ensure team members receive necessary training and resources.
  • Monitor and report on departmental performance metrics.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, or related field
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive law enforcement experience, including supervisory experience
