Job Description

As a Police and Sheriff's Patrol Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining law and order. Your responsibilities include conducting patrols, responding to emergency calls, and ensuring public safety through proactive policing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols in assigned areas to maintain visibility.
• Respond to calls for service, providing assistance as necessary.
• Investigate accidents and crimes, obtaining witness statements.
• Prepare comprehensive reports documenting incidents and actions.
• Participate in community engagement initiatives to enhance public trust.
• Monitor and manage traffic flow to ensure safety.
• Work alongside federal and state law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Engage in continuous training regarding new laws and best practices.
• Establish rapport with community members to promote cooperative policing.
• Assist in executing search warrants and conducting field interviews.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• An associate's or bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice is a plus

Experience

• Some experience in a law enforcement role is preferred.
