Job Description

As a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), you will play a crucial role in supporting new mothers with breastfeeding and lactation. You will provide guidance, education, and emotional support tailored to individual needs, ensuring mothers feel confident and empowered.

Responsibilities

  • Support new mothers with personalized breastfeeding consultations.
  • Educate caregivers about the nutritional needs of infants.
  • Work alongside medical teams to align on patient care strategies.
  • Conduct assessments to identify potential breastfeeding issues early on.
  • Hold workshops on breastfeeding practices and infant care.
  • Engage with the community to promote lactation resources and support.
  • Manage documentation of patient interactions accurately and confidentially.
  • Collaborate on health education initiatives targeting maternal health.
  • Facilitate follow-up sessions with mothers for continued support.
  • Monitor progress and adapt education plans as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification as a Lactation Counselor (CLC)
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare preferred
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in lactation counseling or a related field is required.
