Medical Epidemiologist

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Medical Epidemiologist to join our team. In this role, you will investigate, analyze, and monitor various health issues and disease outbreaks, collecting and interpreting data to develop effective public health strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive epidemiological studies to track disease outbreaks.
• Utilize statistical tools to analyze health data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance public health responses.
• Assist in developing policies related to public health and safety.
• Oversee the implementation of disease surveillance systems.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders on epidemiological findings.
• Conduct evaluations of program outcomes related to disease control.
• Promote best practices in public health within the organization.
• Participate in state and national public health initiatives.
• Document and share lessons learned from investigations.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Public Health or similar
• PhD in Epidemiology or Public Health is preferred

Experience

• Experience with public health surveillance and data collection methodologies

Technical Skills

• Epidemiological Software (Epi Info, OpenEpi)
• Project Management Software

Certifications

• Advanced Epidemiology Certificate
• Health Informatics Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
