Job Description

The Steam Shovel Operator will be responsible for operating steam shovels and related equipment to excavate and grade materials for construction projects. Ideal candidates will have strong skills in heavy equipment operation and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Execute excavation tasks as per project specifications using steam shovels.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
• Report any equipment issues or safety hazards immediately.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment handling and safety practices.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Heavy Equipment Operation

Experience

• 3+ years of experience operating diverse heavy equipment

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
