Job Description

As an Interlibrary Loan Specialist, you will play a vital role in facilitating the borrowing and lending of materials among various libraries. Your expertise will help users gain access to an extensive range of library resources, enhancing their educational experience. This position requires strong communication skills and an understanding of library systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the interlibrary loan process from requests to resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and copyright agreements in material sharing.
  • Assist library staff in understanding interlibrary loan processes and tools.
  • Engage with user communities to gather feedback and enhance services offered.
  • Manage relationships with external libraries and partners involved in loan transactions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
  • Master's degree in Library Science or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in interlibrary loan services
