Plant Buyer

Job Description

As a Plant Buyer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing plant has the necessary materials and equipment for production. Your responsibilities will include researching suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing inventory effectively to support our operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase raw materials and components for manufacturing.
• Review and analyze supplier proposals to determine best fit.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts.
• Implement inventory management systems to optimize stock levels.
• Assist in the development of procurement strategies that align with the organization’s goals.
• Prepare reports on procurement activities and inventory status.
• Train and mentor junior procurement staff on best practices.
• Participate in the development of supplier diversity programs.
• Attend industry trade shows to network and identify new suppliers.
• Stay current with procurement best practices and industry trends.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing

Languages

• English: Fluent
