Woodworking Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender

Job Description

The Speed Belt Sander Tender will be responsible for operating and maintaining speed belt sanding machines in a manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sanding machines to complete wood finishing processes.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure they operate correctly.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products.
• Modify machine settings based on the type of material being processed.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and report to maintenance when necessary.
• Maintain a tidy work area to comply with safety regulations.
• Work with the production team to align on daily goals.
• Achieve specified output targets while ensuring high-quality standards.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience with speed belt sanding machines is a plus

• Experience with other woodworking machinery: Familiarity with operating various types of woodworking machines.
