Music Instructor

Job Description

As a Music Instructor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging music lesson plans tailored to students of all ages. You'll conduct both individual and group lessons while assessing student progress to ensure a high-quality music education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality music instruction that meets the needs of students.
• Help students develop proficiency in playing musical instruments of their choice.
• Provide guidance on vocal techniques and performance skills.
• Maintain an engaging and organized classroom environment.
• Develop relationships with students to foster motivation and enthusiasm for music.
• Collate and report on student progress to administrators and parents.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field
• Master's degree in Music Education is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience

Technical Skills

• Competence in multiple instruments
• Understanding of music composition

Soft Skills

• Organizational skills
• Ability to provide feedback

Certifications

• Teaching certification (advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience preparing students for auditions: Proven experience in coaching students for music examinations or auditions.
• Familiarity with contemporary music trends: Knowledge of current trends in music to effectively engage students.
