Special Education Resource Teacher

Job Description

Join our team as a Special Education Resource Teacher, where you will develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. Your role will involve close collaboration with general education teachers to facilitate student inclusion and success, contributing positively to their educational journey.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ individual learning needs and strengths through various evaluation methods.
• Conduct regular meetings with parents to update them on their child's progress.
• Collaborate with outside agencies as necessary to provide additional support.
• Participate in student support meetings and contribute to the decision-making process.
• Provide training and resources for teachers on integrating students with disabilities.
• Stay updated on legislative changes and district policies regarding special education.
• Lead workshops and seminars to share knowledge and practices in special education.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Education
• Master's degree in Education highly desirable

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a special education role
