Job Description

The Loss Prevention Investigator is a vital role in our organization, focusing on the security of assets within our retail environments. The chosen candidate will conduct investigations into theft and fraud, implementing loss prevention measures while maintaining a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve incidents of theft or potential fraud within the store.
• Conduct surveillance and monitor security systems for suspicious activity.
• Collaborate with the store management team to ensure a secure environment.
• Compile incident reports and provide recommendations for loss prevention enhancements.
• Educate employees on loss prevention strategies and legal matters related to fraud.
• Conduct interviews and gather witness statements as needed.
• Manage relationships with local law enforcement for effective communication.
• Track trends in theft and fraud to proactively adjust prevention strategies.
• Plan and execute emergency responses to theft or other security threats.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in loss prevention or asset protection

Technical Skills

• Surveillance System Proficiency
• Data Analysis

• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Certified Loss Prevention Specialist (CLPS)
• First Aid and CPR Certification

Advantageous
