Job Description

As a Lunchroom Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the lunchroom, managing food preparation, inventory, and staff scheduling while ensuring compliance with health regulations. Your leadership will directly impact student satisfaction and nutritional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily lunchroom operations to guarantee smooth service.
  • Implement menu planning and adherence to dietary restrictions.
  • Oversee ordering, inventory management, and waste reduction strategies.
  • Conduct training programs for staff on food safety and customer service.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Prepare regular budget reports and perform cost analysis.
  • Engage with students to assess satisfaction and gather feedback.
  • Maintain positive relationships with school administration.
  • Coordinate with health inspectors during regulatory checks.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in food service management, including school or institutional settings.
