Job Description

As a Welfare Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in helping individuals navigate the welfare system. You will assess client needs, determine eligibility for benefits, and provide actionable solutions to improve their financial situations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs to facilitate welfare support.
  • Guide clients through the documentation process for welfare applications.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and relevant agencies.
  • Keep abreast of policy changes and how they might affect clients.
  • Create and maintain detailed case files that document clients' progress and outcomes.
  • Participate in outreach programs to educate the community about welfare benefits.
  • Provide workshops on financial literacy for clients.
  • Build relationships with local organizations to improve client service options.
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the welfare team to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field is preferred
Experience
  • Proven track record of successfully assisting clients with welfare benefits.
