Job Description

Join our team as a Group Work Program Aide, where your contributions will directly enhance the recreational experiences of our participants. This position involves collaborating with other staff members to create inclusive and enjoyable environments through carefully planned group activities and interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate group activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
  • Integrate participant feedback into activity planning.
  • Facilitate communication between participants to enhance group dynamics.
  • Supervise sessions to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Assist in creating content for promotional materials related to the programs.
  • Engage in outreach to encourage participation in group offerings.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of group interventions.
  • Provide training for volunteers assisting with group sessions.
  • Organize participant recognition events to celebrate achievements.
  • Foster partnerships with local organizations to enhance program offerings.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Degree in a health or social services-related field is preferred
Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in community service or social work preferred
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of group dynamics and techniques
Soft Skills
  • Conflict resolution
Certifications
  • First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
Languages
  • English: Fluent
