Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Raw Silk Grader to join our quality control team. As a Raw Silk Grader, you will be responsible for assessing the quality of raw silk materials, ensuring adherence to the highest standards. Your expertise in grading will contribute significantly to our production of premium silk fabrics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and grade raw silk fibers based on quality parameters, including texture, strength, sheen, and color.
• Utilize grading tools, such as magnifying lenses, lightboxes, and color charts, to assess silk quality accurately.
• Identify and separate defective silk batches or individual fibers, ensuring only the finest quality materials are used in production.
• Document grading results, noting any deviations from quality standards.
• Collaborate with production managers to address quality-related issues effectively.
• Work closely with machine operators to ensure proper handling and processing of raw silk fibers.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements to enhance overall silk quality.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and quality control practices related to silk grading.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with grading equipment and instruments

Experience

• At least 1-2 years of experience in silk grading or a related field is required.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of textile manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of silk grading standards and techniques

Languages

• English: Fluent
