We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist and Technician to join our team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of mechanical designs and their compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Review engineering drawings for precision and completeness.
Conduct detailed inspections of prototypes and samples.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines for tool designs.
Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team.
Present findings and suggestions in team meetings for process enhancements.
Ensure that tools are designed with safety and efficiency in mind.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
Relevant certifications in tool design are a plus
Experience
3+ years of experience in tool design and verification
