Tree Trimmer and Pruner

Job Description

As a Tree Trimmer and Pruner, you'll be responsible for maintaining and caring for trees by trimming branches and removing dead or dangerous limbs. Your expertise will help ensure the health and beauty of the trees in our clients' properties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of tree health and structure.
• Execute trimming and pruning plans efficiently.
• Train junior staff on proper techniques and safety practices.
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
• Educate clients about tree care and maintenance best practices.
• Work alongside landscape architects for project planning.
• Utilize tree inventory software for managing client properties.
• Ensure compliance with local and state regulations regarding tree maintenance.
• Document any significant changes in tree health for reporting purposes.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Arboriculture or Landscape Management preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in tree care or landscaping

Technical Skills

• Advanced Pruning Techniques
• Equipment Maintenance

• Customer Service
• Safety Awareness

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of Local Tree Species: Understanding native flora and fauna for effective tree care.
