Job Description

As an Ornamental Metalwork Designer, you will be responsible for designing and fabricating intricate metalwork pieces that are both visually appealing and structurally sound. You'll ensure each project meets client specifications while collaborating with skilled metalworkers.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their design vision and functional needs.
• Produce detailed design plans and specifications for custom metalwork.
• Choose suitable materials and finishes for each project.
• Communicate effectively with metalworkers to ensure feasibility of designs.
• Supervise the production of prototypes and final products to guarantee quality.
• Implement new techniques and technologies to enhance design processes.
• Document and track project progress, budgets, and timelines.
• Promote efficient workflows within the design team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related field
• Associate degree in Metalworking is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in metalwork design or related field

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
