The Barker Peeler is responsible for peeling the bark from trees, utilizing hand tools and machinery in various outdoor environments. This role is crucial in preparing timber for processing and ensuring product quality.

Responsibilities

• Utilize various tools to effectively remove bark from logs and trees.
• Ensure adherence to all safety procedures during work.
• Work with the team to optimize production processes.
• Report production metrics daily to the supervisor.
• Participate in regular equipment maintenance checks.
• Assist in training new hires on safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• No prior experience necessary, although experience in forestry or related fields is a plus.
