The Excavating and Loading Machine and Dragline Operators play a crucial role in our construction and excavation operations. As a Clam Shovel Operator, you will be responsible for effectively operating clamshell bucket attachments on heavy machinery, digging and moving various materials. This position demands precise coordination, attention to safety, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and success of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery equipped with clamshell bucket attachments.
• Excavate and load various materials efficiently and safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-operational checks of machinery.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental guidelines.
• Assist in training less experienced operators in equipment use.
• Provide regular updates on project progress to supervisors.
• Communicate effectively with construction teams on-site.
• Document daily activities and operational reports.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions immediately.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certification in heavy machinery operation is preferred

Experience

• At least 3-5 years of experience operating clamshell bucket machinery is required.
