Food Batchmaker / Ice Cream Machine Operator

Job Description

As an Ice Cream Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining ice cream machines to produce delicious ice cream products. Your attention to detail and ability to follow recipes will be key to maintaining the quality and consistency of our offerings.

Responsibilities

• Set up machinery for production runs and ensure all equipment is functioning smoothly.
• Perform regular quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards.
• Collaborate with Quality Control Technicians and other team members to ensure specifications are met.
• Respond promptly to any machinery malfunctions or production issues.
• Assist in training new employees on safe machinery operation.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss process improvements and production goals.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food safety training certification is a plus

Experience

• Experience in ice cream or frozen desserts production is preferred

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of sanitation practices
• Record keeping

Soft Skills

• Teamwork skills

Advantageous

• Experience operating ice cream machines: Prior experience in manufacturing ice cream or similar products.
• Quality control experience: Background in quality assurance roles in food production.
• Inventory management skills: Experience in managing supplies and ordering.
