Postpartum Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Postpartum Nurse to join our team in providing care to new mothers and their infants during the postpartum period. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for helping families navigate this critical time.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document changes in patients' condition.
• Assist with personal care for mothers and infants.
• Educate families on infant care practices.
• Support mothers in developing effective breastfeeding techniques.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to promote medical care best practices.
• Engage in regular training to enhance nursing skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
• Master's degree in nursing is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in postpartum nursing

Technical Skills

• Experience with patient education techniques
• Knowledge of current healthcare practices related to postpartum care

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Critical thinking

Certifications

• Board certification in maternal newborn nursing (RN-BC)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in maternal newborn nursing or related specialties: Hands-on experience with maternal and infant care.
• Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting: Exposure to the healthcare environment improves adaptability.
