Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic support and interventions in collaboration with our treatment team, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic support to individuals in a group setting, focusing on their mental health and emotional needs.
  • Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans, adjusting them as necessary.
  • Conduct assessments of patients' mental states and report findings to the supervising clinician.
  • Engage patients in meaningful conversation and therapeutic activities to promote resilience and well-being.
  • Use crisis intervention techniques to handle challenging situations while maintaining patient safety.
  • Participate in staff training and professional development sessions to enhance skills.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Educate patients about coping strategies and self-care practices.
  • Document all interactions and maintain accurate records pertaining to patient care.
  • Support family members during treatment processes and provide them with necessary resources.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field is a plus
  • Certification as a Mental Health Counselor is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in mental health support roles.
