Job Description

The Air Brake Rigger will work in the transportation industry, specializing in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air brake systems across a variety of heavy vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of these systems, guaranteeing optimal functionality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of air brake systems to troubleshoot problems.
• Execute installations and repairs of air brake systems in alignment with regulatory standards.
• Maintain documentation of repairs and client communications.
• Collaborate with a team of maintenance professionals to streamline vehicle upkeep.
• Adhere to safety protocols while performing tasks.
• Train new staff and enhance team knowledge of systems.
• Utilize diagnostic software and tools to assess system performance and issues.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an apprenticeship in air brake systems is preferred

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in air brake system installation, maintenance, and repair
